If you must chose between playing DS3 or Dragon Age-Dragon Age wins by a long shot. DS3 feels and looks like Fable...,plus there are a lot of mods for Dragon Age. Very few, if any for DS3.

That's like saying if you must choose between Bejeweled and Sins of a Solar Empire, SSE wins by a long shot. They're totally different games, come on now!

I wasn't really a fan of the ridiculous story in Dragon Age that sent you around in circles for no reason whatsoever (you have no use for the dwarves or elves, and the elves are nothing more than tiny trains of wanderers who would never be able to spare anyone to help you anyways). I always thought it was completely ridiculous that half the army is utterly fine with committing treason and letting both their king and their comrades at arms die for no good reason whatsoever and the rest of the kingdom is cool with that too. And it isn't like the king was an evil or vile man or running the kingdom into the ground. He was a very affable fellow who seemed to be a man of the people who only wanted to help his country prosper. Logan on the other hand is clearly the type of person that the populace would have been glad to see removed from office. This more than anything else completely ruined the game for me.

Duncan is a complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, especially for his inability to understand why someone with a family and life wouldn't want to risk the high chance of being killed by drinking a potion that if he had known about from the getgo he would never have agreed to come along and become a Gray Warden. The game should have let me interfere and kill Duncan myself. Furthermore, there is no reason to ever have more than one Gray Warden alive at any point in time since the only thing that a Gray Warden can do is receive the same dreams that the Darkspawn receive. Since all the Gray Wardens receive the same dreams you only need one of them to see the dreams. Recruiting more than one person to become a Gray Warden when there is no need to ever have more than one, and knowing the high risk someone will die when drinking the poison and will only live for 30 years max is an extreme indifference to the value of human life.

Let's talk about the Gray Wardens. So the first Gray Wardens were just normal soldiers who somehow knew that by mixing corrupted dragon blood with magic and dark spawn blood that they would be able to absorb the dragon's soul and prevent it from going into another darkspawn how again? Oh right they couldn't have possibly known this because it is utterly ubsurd.

Morrigan. She only tags along because her mother ordered her to tag along so that she could sleep with and get impregnated by Alistair and thereby conceive a baby that would absord the dragon's soul. However after you spend enough time becoming her BFF she convinces you that she really hates her mother and you go to her mother's house to kill her mom which you do. Now you can lie to Morrigan about finding the book, in which case she would be left completely in the dark about the whole baby absorbing the dragon soul thing. And being left completely in the dark she would have no reason to want to carry out the wishes of the mother she just had you kill. So why then does she still insist on doing it with Alistair whom she hates to conceive a baby that will absorb the dragon's soul when she has zero idea why she is doing this other than because her mother told her to which she clearly wouldn't want to continue doing now that she killed her mother. I mean for all she knows this would cause her to die and her mother to be reborn. And even if you do give her the book she has no reason to believe that the book actually contains the truth and isn't really a trap and she should still believe in the possilbity that conceiving a child with Alistair would result in her dying and her mother being reborn. SO there is zero reason either why she would want to carry out her mother's instructions or why she would be so cross at you for refusing that she would leave. And anyways, Alistair hates her, so why would he agree to sleep with her? Especially since he is now married to the Queen.

Alistair's fickle heart. So even after we've slept together and proclaimed our undying love for each other, he still decides to dump me like yesterday's leftovers and marry the treacherous Queen who more than likely knew and was ok with her father betraying and murdering her husband. And once again half the council supported Logan despite clear knowledge that Logan betrayed the king and thereby the kingdom and proved that he is utterly untrustworthy.

The dragon. What was the point of the dragon again? Did it have an actual goal or did it simply want to see the world burn? Why did the Darkspawn even need to go through all the trouble of unearthing it? If its soul could easily transfer from the dragon to any other Darkspawn, there was no point in digging it out.

The inconsistencies with Darkspawn blood. Sometimes the game says it is so poisonous that if you even get just a little on your skin you will probably die but then your companions are constantly getting drenched in it, the king was getting constantly drenched in it over a 2 month long campaign, most of the army was getting drenched in it. Basically a lot of people were getting drenched in this extremely toxic substance and weren't being affected by it.

Or how about the fact it would be super easy to have ended the blight permanently long ago but no one could be bothered to clear out the dwarven mines so they just let their enemies pile up and up.

Or what about the dwarves. If they can't go to the surface then they wouldn't be able to grow enough food to feed themselves so there clearly couldn't be an actual rule against stepping foot outside the caves, plus how would they get oil, paper, wool and everything else they have in excess if they couldn't leave? I don't buy the excuse that some dwarves are banished to become traders who then supply the rest of the dwarves who disavowed them with the necessary luxury supplies. That just doesn't make sense. And why would I choose either of those completely unpalatable and untrustworthy dwarves to be a leader? Why not choose a different and better dwarf?

And the game never justifies or explains either how the elves became 3rd class citizens nor why they continue to choose to remain 3rd class citizens.

The game also does a horrible job explaining how the Templars control the mages. If they themselves aren't using magic then there is no way they could control the magic of the mages and if they did use magic they'd face the exact same perils as the mages and essentially be exactly the same.

The lack of sufficient mana/stamina regen really ruined the game play for me. I don't want to be relying mostly on auto attacks and pot spam, that's just lame. There is no reason why I shouldn't have been able to constantly fling around spells and abilities. MP/Stamina is a mechanic from the stupid years of video gaming that should put out to pasture.

I could go on and on like this due to the sheer stupidity of the plot but I'll just stop here.

everything bioware made after kotor is filth including dragon age. they are games for idiots that lack dexterity and are over scripted just to waste the players time so people dont complain that the games are only 3 hours long. they only appeal to sub-human wanna be gamers who think its possible to be "good" at rpg's.

the irony here is the point bioware ♥♥♥♥ their pants is when they started hiring out obshitian to be their scapegoat for their sequels. nothing obshitian had done up to this game was comparable to its predecessor, infact they pretty much destroyed everything they touched. that being said they did do a really good job on this game based on the fact that it wasnt designed TO be like its predecessors, it is its own game.

i hate every game obsidian has made (including the overpriced MOD they did with the fallout franchise) except this one, but honestly atleast i tried to play them! dragon age bored my ♥♥♥ off within 2 hours. bioware deserved to get bought by EA, they had no future making more games anyways.

ego draconus ♥♥♥♥ all over dragon age on every possible level.
