Worth it?

Hello guys. I was trying to find a similar post to this in the discussions about this game but no lucks. So, basically i want to know if this MMO is really worth just because i really like to try a new MMo, GW2 the most recently played game but i don't see many interesting MMOs on steam in addition of TSW and RIFT, maybe TERA too.

So, Any recommendation, tips, etc?.

Well there's a trial you can always do that goes up to level 20 I think. I personally think it's worth it.

Google in Rift Lite, that's the name of the trial letting you play up to level 20 free.

I just played about 5h of Storm Legion Beta with my Harbinger Mage. And I am very impressed. I suggest you buy it or maybe get yourself a Ascension from a friend who might play and get to it. You will not regret it, even the green starting gear looks better than most GW2 Exotics for the Expansion. Personally, I returned due to all the stuff happening with SL, after I stopped playing RIFT for a long while. So that gotta mean something.

TSW is nice and you should always at least play it's trial, but doesn't seem to be even close to what SL offers right now. TERA has a fun tank system for Warriors in place, but is otherwise pretty bad.

Imo, Rift is not worth playing as a P2P game since it doesn't cover that many aspects which would make the game worth playing over the value as a whole, at any rate. For what its worth, the game in essence is good and I think Rift would benefit greatly from a F2P model, for which I would actually return to Rift and play again. :-)

The game as a whole has decent graphics with fun gameplay; it's very similar to WoW. Infact, Rift is sometimes called a 'carbon-copy' of WoW because it draws a lot of features from WoW, and it's no surprise either since I believe some of the developers of Rift previously developed WoW, so I heard. I recommend trying the game though, because it has a really dynamic Talent System, which is so complicated that Rift invests the points for you. :-)

I've been playing Rift for about a year now. If there's any MMO out there that's worth a subscription fee, it's these guys. Trion works damn hard and listens to the community. They update frequently, and when there's a bug (as inevitably, there will be bugs) they work around the clock to fix it in record time. Every month or two they release something new into the game. The soul system is SO much fun, there is so much flexibility within a single character class. It's DEFINTELY worth checking out.

Ive been playing mmo since EverQuest beta (-98). And i have to say that Rift is the second most amazing MMO ive played since EverQuest. i can highly recommend it. casual or hardcore, there is tons to do for everyone. they have world events eatch months and stuff keeps coming!

Just spent the last day or so looking at reviews and videos and a couple of livestreams. This game looks awesome. Definitely picking it up at midnight when payday hits. :D

just try rift light, i own rift and i love it! great graphics great everything really. Im just so stuck on BF3 right now i havnt been playing rift so much. I want to get the new expansion

Maybe it is a while since you played it, but it seems to cover msot aspects as far as I can see, various tiers of instanced PvE - 5 man dungeons / 10/20 man raids / solo/duo chronicles, it has several 10-20 man team PvP instances, an RvR zone, etc, dynamic/world events, housing, various thing sto progresss at max level if you like that sort of thing, crafting, etc, other than small team (3v3, etc) PvP or Public dungeons (Many MMOs don;t have these either) I'm can't see what they don;t have?
