Works fine, on 64bit win 7 - edi the conquests.ini for advanced options if you need them.

It should work. At least on my Win 7 x64 it does, as it does on Vista x32. A few advices:
1) Try to run it in win xp compatibility mode. Get to Steam\steamapps\common\sid meier's civilization iii complete\Conquests and set those params in Conquests.exe properties
2) Set resolution stability via Steam\steamapps\common\sid meier's civilization iii complete\Conquests\conquests.ini by adding lines
KeepRes=1
Playintro=0
into this file. You can put them right after [Conquests] line.

Can't tell if messing around with configs is the better solution, so decide yourself which approach you like more :)

Yup, works fine for me on my X64 Win7 machine.. Got 8 gig of memory, runs great. Using an EVGA GTX560Ti card w/ 2GB

Ty all for the assurances. The given specs say "windows 2000/XP (only)". That "only" part made me wonder if Vista and Win 7 were left out. Maybe it is old specs from when XP was the latest.

I am running the game on Vista 32-Bit and 7 64-Bit no issues at all. Runs great.

After install and reverify cache game still won't start. Screen blinks twice and there is no mention of game running in task manager. Have tried just about all the different options under the compatibility tab with no luck. Unable to find any mention of conquest.ini in any folder. Holness_202, where was your ini fole located? Any help appriciated. Thanks.

Not sure if anyone still looks at this post or not, but I ended with a solution. There seems to be an issue with the Windows Security Update (K3086255) and makes this game unplayable for some. Uninstalling this update should solve the issue.
