CIV 3 on Windows 8
I can't get CIV 3 to work in WIndows 8 on a laptop. Ran wonderfully on Win 7. Any suggestions other than the usually uninstall reinstall restart stuff?

Simple, get rid of win 8. It's total crap.

Allmost none of the old games run on windows 8. And not many of the new games run on it.

I've been running it on Windows 8 just fine.

At first I whitelisted the game to run on my dedicated graphics card and it didn't run. I took its entry out from the nVidia control panel and Civ 3 runs fine after that.

Abort Windoze 8. It's the only sensible and moral thing to do in this type of situation.

So, what's the trick in getting this to run on a Win 8 machine and no downgrading to Win 7 isn't an option.

How is it not working? It's running smoothly on my Win8. I guess you could try running the game in compability mode
