Can't enable cheats?

I've binded console command to many different keys and it doesnt respond. No prompt shows up in game or anything. What am I doing wrong? I binded them to ` and tab and then z and x and \ and / . Nothing works. I am making sure to save every time before I go. I exit and refresh the folder to double check.

If you havent, replace the character with the name of the key Ex. if ` is your key then put in Tilde and not the ` character

They're called cheats but its really just modifications to make the game silly. Like letting you fly or run faster.

Their built in cheats Ingame, everyone needs to type in enable cheats for them to work
