additional note about the santas little helper is that it can only be achived during December. (when the clock on your computer says it is) which doesnt realy stop you from changeing it to be honest :)

Solar Flare can also be completed - Just double/tripple click the sun in the main menu - Slam your mousebutton until it triggers. Worked for me just now :)

Solar Flare is now showing up, not sure if they fixed it or if there is a bug that makes it show up in December (an error, if that's the case lol), I hadn't been able to do it, just got something about RUSH being part of the Portal ARG thingy majig when I clicked on the sun

Congratulations for getting it to work, but the Portal 2 ARG is over since April 2011. The Solar Flare and Santa's Little Helper are unrelated, they were made for Summer and Holiday sale 2011, respectively.

This is compleatly true in that neither of these levles/achivments have anything to do with the portal ARG.

despite this however Two Tribes did leave several portal themed levles from the event so once you unlock the Actual Challange zone you will be able to play the few levles that they left in.

It is possible to get the Portal 2 ARG levels in April. When I was doing "Crocodile" GLaDOS popped up and erased my hints(which I count on heavily). Using a video guide, I beat the level and unlocked actual challenge. However, the cubes are not companion cubes and are presents instead.

So yeah, I have a good feeling I'm going to unlock every achievement now.

Hi timequake.

Most of the Portal 2 ARG files were removed after the Potato Sack event however as you have noticed they did leave 5 levles in the game which can be done any time of the year. The companion cube skins were removed from the game which is why presents are used instead.

Since most of the achivements are not dependent on the Actual Challange levles you dont need the full ARG to get all the achivements.

I also don't get the "solar flare" level when clicking the sun in the menu! Instead just a message "On April 1st ...". How to start this "solar flare" level?

which menu? you need to be in the difficulty select menu (i.e., choosing between easy, medium, hard) to click it

I don't see any "solar flare" level. In the menu, I see 6 cubes (Tutorial, easy, medium, hard, actual, bonus). The "bonus" doesn't work as it asks me to "join the official rush game group", but when I click "yes", it just returns to the menu.

I can't enter the Solar flare level too. I clicked the sun many times and popped up some text but nothig happen.
