Game's fun, but too unforgiving
I'm really enjoying this game, but at the moment, the facets of the randomness of the roguelike feature/loss of any tangibles on death, and the difficulty of monsters all ganging up on you at once, randomness of items per run, and cost of items in the shop, like the healing items/ultimate scrolls, are all making this a bit too difficult. I've found that often, I can't afford a single non-healing/key/scroll item in the shop after even 1 zone, meanwhile the next tier of enemy awaits me in the next zone. I've gone both the kb/m as well as controller route, and the melee characters seem to get the shaft the most, due to close quarter combat and having to dodge multiple times every few seconds. The archer, while listed as intermediate, is by far the easiest, especially in the desert tileset.

Is there any plans to adjust the hit points of monsters, damage of monsters, cost of items, etc. to make the difficulty of the game a bit smoother for people who aren't professionals at timing of the dodge? I've been grinding this game the last day and a half and have yet to even get to the jungle boss, although I've beaten the desert boss once.

We're going to be looking at the difficulty of the earlier areas, and tuning them down a bit based on feedback we've gotten from players the last couple of days. So yes, expect it to be less unforgiving in the next update. :D

A few tips for survival: Looticus's is invulnerable while he is in his defensive move (gold statue form.) Use this to go toe-to-toe with the enemies. Every enemy will signal you before striking (some are more obvious than others). If you want to clear out a large pack of enemies, and make a lot of money at the same time, use the scroll move when you are surrounded and then hack away as fast as you can. This will net you between 100-200 gems if you time it right. Be sure to smash all the breakables too. There's a chance to get valuable stuff in them that could help. In many cases, the smaller the enemy, the weaker they are. Target them first. Good luck and thank you for taking a chance on our game!

One more thing: it really helps to know the combos and charge attacks. The starting room of each area is free of enemies. Use this open space to practice your moves.
