Freezes

Is this game that old, or is my comp too good? Currently, after a min or so, the game just suddenly locks, yet I apparently am moving, issuing commands, and so on. From what it seems, only the actual screen of the game is locking, while everything else is still functioning. I tried to verify if the game cache was alright, and Steam did not detect any issues.

Anyone have an idea what is up?

i uninstalled it, it locks up on me every 5 min. A real shame i played this like crazy when i whas a kid, really would have loved playing it again. :(

On startup select “Direct3D HAL” instead of “Direct3D T&L HAL”. That fixed the problem for me.

Yes its old, was released in 2000. I loved this game. Hate how it has invidia problems as I would love to play it again. Maybe oneday they will remake it in HD.
