I don't know who owns the rights to Kingpin nowadays. The company went bankrupt soon after the games release and most went to form Treyarch. (You know, Call of Duty) I couldn't believe it. Xatrix Intertainment is now Treyarch. I can't imagine them releasing anything that they were unsure that would sell *Cough* Call of duty.

This game was really ahead of its time, it was so amazing back when it came out.

We will never get a sequel, unless someone gets the rights and maybe kickstarts it.

But i wish there was a HD remake or something. Like with Duke nukem 3d have.

Xatrix was only a developer and I think Interplay owns the rights but that company isn't going to make any new games as they don't have any studios anymore within their ownership. They only publish games made by others and some other little stuff.

Xatrix folks went to Grey matter studios, which later got bought and turned to Treyarch. On Grey matter, they did the return to castle wolfenstein among other future titles. However, i don't think many of the original people still work there.

When it comes to Kingpin, it had great multiplayer idea. Bagman mode. Collect money from middle, take it to your base safe and you can also raid the enemy safe and steal their money. Awesome. You cant see gamemodes like that these days.

I had a custom skin that said "Crowbar King" I loved this game so much. I still have it on CD somewhere. Lets promote it and get it popular again!

Yea, i still have the CD of this game, was lots of fun in SP & MP.
There was a sequel in the works but it's been so long since reading about it, i think 1007 time frame is when they had a sequel going, not sure why it got scrapped.
