Run time error

I got FOT in the bundle pack and when I try to launch the damn gamn I get a weird run time error. Here's what it said. Error C:\dev\phoenix\display\directx7\dd7_display.ccp(715):**fatal error**: could not create primary and back surfaces. I have no idea what it means and the games splash screan works fine till I try to start the damn game. Also FO1 and FO2 work perfictly fine on my Laptop. So what the hell is wrong. Could someone who knows what it means tell me how I can fix it?

This is common issue, try running from game folder BOS_HR.exe instead.

The easiest way to solve this problem is by runnning the game in windowed mode (right click on the game in steam).

Fix
Follow the bolded for experienced computer users

• Go to Steam your game Library
  
• Right-click on fallout tactics
  
• Click on Properties
  
• Select Local files
  
• Click on Open file location
  
• Right-click file named "BOS_HR"
  
• Click on Properties
  
• Select the CompatabilityTab
  
• Then under Compatability mode
  
• Check Run this program in compatability mode for:
  
• Select Windows 95
  
• Then under Settings
  
• Check Reduced color mode, 8-bit(256)color and Run in 640 x480 screen resolution.
  
• Click Apply and Enjoy.

Launch the game windowed (the windows 8 option) then open the settings, go to display, hit default, then exit the game. now you should be able to play the game normally.
