Save/Load fest that is an impossibility without a guide.
How 'bout missing a 90% chance to hit in a row, thrice or four times while getting always hit by early-game enemies from three screens away? How about random encounters every 5 minutes with packs of wolves and dozens upon dozens of raiders with weapons that crit. hit you every single time?
Infinite ammo for enemies, inability to steal it before the fight.
Stupidly overpowered enemy armour, lack of critical hits even for luck 10.
The game is stupidly, mindbogginly, grindingly difficult for no other reason than "because ♥♥♥♥ you!", it was created simply for those who thought Fallout 1 was not enough, but it was. It was more than enough.
Ludicrously nerfed unarmed combat. A punch with spiked knuckles that does 4 damage at over 140% Unarmed? Really? 4 attacks per turn for most enemies in HtH? Late acquisition of Bonus HtH attacks perk? Dogs and Rats that do 8 damage (non-critical!) to an upgraded leather armour? Early raiders that never miss a burst and do over 70 damage per an always critical hit? Dumbass Cassidy that always misses the enemy and hits me? Use Jet once - you're an addict? Knuckles do more damage than a power fist? Come on!
Incredibly narrow focus on select skills, while others are of no use.
You want to play a character of your own? Tough ♥♥♥♥, pick guns and speech, otherwise you're gonna have a bad time.
Walls of text, boring dialogues that reek of grade 9 English literature homework and bunch of other irrelevant stuff that just breaks the experience. Ghosts, friendly mutants and talking deathclaws... what? The game is either trying to be too serious or too wacky.
It feels like a DLC to the great Fallout. Dumbed down and with ridiculous perks like "childkiller" and such.
No wonder it was more popular than the original, YOBA approved.
Worse than Fallout 1 in all respects except one - inventory management.
