Smiley stuck?
So I returned to the toxic caves after getting the car fixed. I got Smiley and when we got back to the first floor (the cave enterance) he stands there and he stops following me. I can't talk to him but I can take all of his items. (Leather armor, jerky, gecko pelts)

Can I fix this? It doesn't really matter if I can't complete the quest but I'd like to.

He stays there. He says something like "I can make it on my own from here. See ya back in town" Exit the cave and turn the quest in. you are done.

I can't talk to him though, he's at the ladder and he stands there. I went back to town and the lady (forgot her name) still asks me about Smiley.

seems to have glitched up, kinda random. only thing i can suggest is go back a few saves if you can, if not you'll just have to move on

Actually I kept my save on one file, but when I unlocked the elevator and went down, smiley was there and then he followed me back to the exit and I completed the quest. THanks though. :P
