What can this be compared to?
I'm considering this game, but I kind of want a comparison to another game so I can get a feel for what it's like. It looks kind of like Baldur's Gate to me, but I can't really tell from screenshots. If you can't find any comparisons to draw with other games, could you just explain it to me?

its kinda like baldurs gate, obviously both have their similarities/differences. other similar games are planescape:torment and arcanum... if you like old school isometric crpg's you should have an idea of what to expect in gameplay and can't really go wrong with fallout (one of my favs)

it's a bit like the old xcom (ufo) but with a good story and serious consequences for wrong decisions. I would advise watching a 'let's play' video on youtube before commiting. I personally love fallout 1 great game.

Its a diffrent type of gameplay but the new fallouts (3, NV) did keep the feel of the old games quite well. All games have leveling/skills/perks, free exploration, side missions, voiceovers(not as many in the old ones but when an npc dose its fully voiced), .Theres not as much direction but the wiki help if you ever forget what your doing during a mission or somthing. Game play is point and click grid based, turn based during combat but when theres no enemies its real time.
