Here's how much I love this game: I originally bought a used copy. After playing it I felt so guilty for buying a game I enjoyed so much in a way that didn't give the creators any money that I've proceeded to buy it on Steam, on Xbox Live, in Humble Bundles that contained it even though I already had it here, though Amazon digital even though I already have it here, on the Playstation Network, as gifts for people... Essentially any time I'm given a chance to throw more money at Double Fine for this game I will do so, because I don't yet feel like I've paid them back enough for how much enjoyment it's brought me.
It's not a perfect game, mind you. The platforming can be clunky, there's a few jumps it'll make you spit teeth trying to get at, there are a few too many collectables quests (and whoever decided to put figments along the length of Milla's race, where they blend in so much that you can miss seeing them when your almost on top of them, should be throttled). But it has an entertaining plot, lots of humor, one of my favorite casts of characters in all fiction, and the development team loaded it with so many little details that even after multiple playthroughs you can still find things you never noticed (make sure to check the camp bulletin board after every area you complete!) It also rewards you for trying out different powers in different places; my first time through, for instance, I don't think I ever used invisibility except for the three times you're required to (and one of those is optional) but my next time around I tried it out more often and found places where it's a great enough tool that I've pulled it out in them ever since.
