Crashing Immediately [Mac]

Hey all, I have already checked the file integrity and re-installed the game to no avail. I would love to post the error log that OS X spits back at me, but steam is giving me Error 2 whenever I try.

I'm having this exact same problem as well on a slightly newer macbook pro. The game won't even fully launch before crashing. Checking the file integrity and reinstalling it after making sure my system is totally up to date got me nowhere.

I saw forum posts elsewhere about the issue possibly having to do with a case-sensitive file system, but mine is standard HFS+ Journaled. This is quite aggravating...

I was trying to play from an external hard drive, since I have a small internal drive and games usually play just fine from an external drive. Once I moved it to my internal drive, it worked, so I guess this is one of those games that at least on a Mac, don't want to run off of an external drive.

Is there any more on this? I am having the same problem. I installed it a couple of days ago and I have never tried to pray it on Mavericks... Any solutions?

It miraculously fixed itself... I don't know if it was on the game-side or on my side due to OS X.
