half life problem!
when i start half life 2:episode one buy from the orange box after 1 minute I return to desktop and so I click on the icon of half life for replay but again I return at desktop! Help!

I think I'm having the same problem. So it loads up fine, I play for a little while, then it stutters and brings me to the desktop. The game is still running (I can hear myself shooting etc.), but the window only displays my desktop. Any advice would be very appreciated!

Try going to Options - Video - Advanced - Disable Windows Aero Extensions
