CONFIRMED: Save Game Transferable between PC and Android
Hi all,

Good news. I've just managed to transfer my save file from Android to Steam. There was no way I'm going to buy this game again and replay until Disc 3 (Chapter 3, if you may, since we don't have discs on this version). So glad that the transfer was straightforward! The files are found below:

Steam:
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\LocalLow\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY IX\Steam\EncryptedSavedData\SavedData_ww.dat

Android:
DeviceStorage\Android\data\com.square_enix.FFIXww.android_googleplay\files\EncryptedSavedData\SavedData.dat

All you have to do is move the file over from Android to the PC folder and replace it with the correct name SavedData_ww.dat and you're good to go.

That's pretty cool and thanks for posting the PC save location; I was just trying to find it!

I saw this game using cloud saves and I think it said you can transfer files in between devices, but I could have just mis read it.

You're a legend! I was hoping that this was possible. I'll be giving it a go after I finish work tonight. Thanks for letting people know how to do this Xalvin.

.... and people still think this isn't a mobile port..... HA
(as if the UI wasn't a dead giveaway)

thx for this post dude! I thought I was the only one with that question... created a thread twice and nobody did reply to me. So I quess you can use the Steam Save for the Android Version too! Now I can buy the mobile version nice :)

Well, there IS some difference between the mobile UI and PC UI. Namely there are much less buttons appearing on screen which is necessary for touchscreen controls. I'm sure they can tweak the UI in a future patch to make the size smaller.

And yes, if you can use it interchangeably then you can play it on-the-go or on your PC

Would be nice if the UI is a little smaller... especially in battle! Lets hope they patch this.

Well one thing you forgot to mention is if they did the requirements for a achievement in the mobile version then transfered it over to the steam version that they will still get the steam achievements for what they completed once they load the game up

Thanks mate ! I really don't understand what's the purpose to build your own cloud saving system and don't use it to share save game files through all devices !! I think with this they also could share achievements especially when you spend 20€ for each version Oo

A .dat file doesn't have an OS reliance.

Circle jerking: The only way to confirm this. :)

What about the iOS version for iphone anyone know how to transfer a saved game to the pc version?

If you can retrieve the save file somehow, it'll be a .dat, so all you need to do is rename the file.
