Its Begun
They've already downgraded the graphics from what we've seen at E3?

What's Next?

Atleast they admit this game is pretty much a console child , that will go on PC just because nobody wants to lose sales.

Heh it it werent for the modders...

This game really does suck. RIP Fallout. RIP PC Games.

Looks like they are phrasing it so you get upset, I thought his statement was in response to everyone whining about the graphics.

The graphics a thousand times better than Fallout 1, yet the game sucks because the graphics aren't 1001 times better. What a bunch of whiny♥♥♥♥♥children.

I agree with Brandybuck. Fallout and the other Bethesda games have NEVER been about the graphics you ignorant little children. It's about gameplay, fun, RPG, and a compelling story you can't find anywhere else. Anyone who complains about graphics in these games does not deserve to have them.

Agreed.

This is not news lol. Bethesda is not the only company to showcase huge textures, only to "optimize" them by making them smaller for release. It's standard practice in the industry, and has been going on forever. Every studio I worked for prior to 2010 did this exact same thing to make games look better before release.
At least Bethesda uses gameplay footage, even if scripted, to do their trailers, unlike 90% of the other companies out there.

I think anyone who pays for the game deserves to have them. That's how business works.

Also, Bethesda has no idea what an RPG is, or how to write a coherent story for that matter.
What I read from that was completely different to you. They seemed to be responding to people already complaining about the graphical fidelity by saying they could have made the game better looking than it is now, but chose to dial back in favour of being able to have a bigger game world.

And I'm okay with that. I'm all too aware how much budget and time can go into seemingly small increases in the graphics department.
It already looks better than the previous titles. Hell, we even have built-in DoF and creature animations that actually look fairly good.

People complaining about consoles being the reason forget that not all PC gamers are running the same equipment. Scaling back makes the game accessible to more of us, especially given how many don't really buy the newest and best hardware to run everything at Ultra.

I'm missing the part where they say they are dialing the graphics back from what was shown at E3, you are misreading the article. Seems to me that they are responding to the complaints regarding the graphics that have been shown.

First they want a Fallout 4. 6 years later, Fallout 4 comes out. But now they don't care about Fallout 4. And only because it doesn't have the graphics of your typical overrated 3-hour-long singleplayer games. Who understands you people?

I hope you're purposely being thick, for your families sake.
