Demo freezes as soon as you gain control!!!

I got the demo, but i can't even play it because as soon as i get control of the cursor. That is, after the long introduction, (which is, btw, unskippable and annoying to watch every time I try it), and just as son as you can move the cursor, in a scene with rain. There the game simply freezes entirely, and not only that, but my entire machine freezes and I can't even stop the process or anything. I have to turn it off with the power off button.

I have my GPUs latest drivers and I doubt that is an issue, because I can run much more demanding games at 30+ fps (e.g. Metro 2033). No other game has failed as abruptly as this one!

Good thing I didn't get the game before trying the demo, because it doesn't work!

Any ideas?

Update for those interested. It seems that it was a Drivers problem, Updated them and now the game works fine.
