I feel like there's something missing.

Anyone finish the game and feel like it should have had a bit more?

There was a lot going on, but it felt crammed near the end - as if they were rushing to finish the game and just tacked on an ending. Not saying the ending was horrible, but it felt less polished then the rest of the game.

I mean, was that part cut out of the game, or did I miss something in the dialog? Seems like its something that should have taken place!

Edit: Nevermind, looked up a lets play video where the mission was given and indeed I simply missed it.

It felt fine to me. Clearly it could of have been longer, and maybe fleshed a bit out, but the pacing felt just right to me. I enjoyed it.

From what I understand, there was every intention to include the other countries (and, presumably, the other witches) in the game, but it ran overbudget as it was.

I like that they didn't give the Wicked Witch of the West a name. (yay, thread necomancy) That way people who prefer Wicked can call her Elpheba, and those who prefer Oz the Great and Powerful can call her Theodora. Yes, I know OtGaP wasn't out when they made this game.

I don't really care for the other good witch's name, Locosta, but even after looking at the Oz Wiki I'm not sure what her name really is.

They had more stuff, but the game became way over their budget. They had a Muchkin Countries area and a Gillikan area. "Interestingly enough, the Munchkin and Gillikan sections were fully designed and were originally going to be in the game, but the game went way over budget and they had to be cut out. The Munchkin area was going to take place on misty farmland that was being attacked by a monster, akin to Hound of the Baskervilles. It ended with a confrontation by Dee's old house (which was partially sunk into misty marshland). The Gillikan section was a good old-fashioned murder mystery at a luxury lakeside resort. There were several characters from the books involved there, I recall. The Hungry Tiger was a food critic who was staying at the resort, and Button Bright was re-imagined as a cranky old groundskeeper called Buttons." Dave Gilbert posted that. Locasta, Gaylette and Tattypoo are are potential names for the Witch of the North from the first two Royal Historians. I like both Locasta, and Gaylette... but Tattypoo is a horrible name.
