Can't get statue from Thoda Island

So for some reason I can't get that cutscene where Genis freezes the water so Lloyd could jump and get it. Did I miss something? Any help would be appreciated.

How far are you into the game? At a certain point you don't need the statue anymore because you already have access to hakonesia peak and completed most of the seals. You might be able to trigger something if you talk to the old man who lives there again, but if not you might be outta luck.

Honestly I had a save point where I haven't talked to the old man at Hakonesia Peak, and haven't even travelled to Thoda Island so it really confused me. The cutscene just didn't happen even when I did it in order. I'm already at the point of collectiong the first three summonings, then fighting Remiel

I believe you need to do a series of cutscenes involving looking for the statue at various Houses of Salvation first. I forget what the exact order of operations are.

Can you find out? That would be great, if not it's okay I will be sure to do it carefully when I play it the second time.

I don't really remember the specific order either, but I think you need to start by talking to the priest in the palmacosta church. I'm tired and about to head so forgive my inconsistant grammar/spelling mistakes.

Visit the house of salvation next, see if there's any cutscenes, then go to hakonesia peak and examine the goddess statue, this should trigger it.

visit the house of salvation again, see what's up, maybe something changed.

You might need to clear the design human ranch if you still can't get the statue on thoda, then head back to the house of salvation and the head priest should be there. This 99% will guarentee you can finish the subquest if you see him and he triggers a cutscene.

What I would do is keep checking on on hakonesia peak and the house of salvation each time something significant happens in the story. Sorry I can't give you something a bit more helpful :P

Okay I found out what I messed up on. I didn't talk to that priest at the first House of Salvation. After he was busy doing something. Thanks for the help tho :)
