Interesting game, but frustrating!
From the (what i guess is called...) the navigation/map, it seems like it is down to luck whether you get the gameover movie or actually end up in the next chamber. Because of the autosave being the only way of saving progress, it means i have to keep re-doing a part.

I'm at the chamber with the second heart, i complete that room, then the sister asks me to return to her chamber... i draw a gold line to move there, and it seems 50/50 chance of gameover????

I've tried this about 8 times now, only twice getting into her chamber and then getting another random gameover when trying to leave her chamber. I'm 90% sure i'm taking the right path.

What's up? What am i doing wrong?

Are you dumb? There are quicksave and normal saves too.

Did you try, I dunno, reading tutorial, or at least listening to what she says?

For crying out loud, what is it with you morons. Why the need to flame me? Can no one on steam write a sentence without doing that?

I shall now go and stand in the dunce corner because i wasn't born with knowledge of how to play this game. I'm sorry that the method of playing this game was not written into my DNA.

Why do i bother.

What did you expect asking questions which were answered at the start of the game?

What did i expect? I expected that a simple ♥♥♥♥ing question wouldn't be troll bait. Go away.

You're not dumb, the way everything is explained at the start of this game is confusing and boring and there's a lot to take in. I ♥♥♥♥ed up to start with too.

You can save while on the map, which is "the void". Open the escape menu and then click the... I'm pretty sure it's the V symbol? If you hover over it it'll tell you. I never personally used quicksave but I think that's the F5 key-- again, only available while you're in the void, not a chamber.

If you keep dying in the void it's because you don't have enough color inside your hearts. While you're in the void, the color in your hearts is processed and becomes the color you paint with, so if you don't have enough in them when you exit a chamber or you spend too long sitting in the void, you die. That's the only reason you die. Before exiting a chamber make sure you place as much color as possible into your hearts.

If you keep having trouble then it might be time to restart. Collect all the color you can and use as little as possible and remember to always fill your hearts. This is the kind of game with enough complex rules and a high enough difficulty that until you really understand those rules you'll find you've messed up early on, not noticed, and gotten yourself stuck. I ran through the section with the first sister two or three times before I really had a grasp on how to play without getting stuck/dying.

I hope this helps some! Try looking up some tutorials and walkthroughs as well, they can have some really useful tips in there.

Hey, thanks. You didn't need to type that all up, but that really cleared things up.
You mention to look up walkthroughs etc, i tend to avoid them as they tell you what's to come and removes the element of surprise most of the time.

That's what i was doing wrong then, not filling up the hearts with colour before leaving the chamber ( i think).

You can also open up the menu with 'B' to refill while in the Void map, even if you are traveling between rooms. Kept me from dying a time or two, and I only hit the 'B' button on a whim the first try that way, but it helps when she calls out "You dying" and you are in mid-walk to a new room.

game has steep learning indeed, but im not surprised that u got trolled because of that kind of a question. along the fact that unixfreak nickname would induce feeling that one behind it is rather inteligent, dying in void with empty hearts was indeed pretty "clearly" explained in dialogs if u analyse each sentence, also death sister reminds u about that each time u have empty heart that ull die without any colour while in void. keep at it. void is harsh but u wont forget it anytime soon.

also made better trees and colour cap mod if any1 interested

While there can be a little loss of surprise by checking out walkthroughs, there are a couple of game elements that are extremely difficult to find out ingame, such as which colours are poisonous to Sisters, or how much realm damage will cause its Brother to attack you. There are some handy tips in them as well, like filling yourself with Silver when doing anything in any of the Void's chambers, as an example.
