Does not start

Hey, the community
I try to start the game, the screen goes black (i'd expect stuff to appear) but then it just flickers and then i'm stuck with a black square covering the top two upper left thirds of the screen.
Alt-tab shows there's some kind of error message, but I can't see it. press space and it vanishes.
I've lowered the graphics settings down to nill but got nothing.
updated video graphics to highest. I'm not comfortable uninstalling my current Nvidia settings to install the previous version of PhysX included in the game.
installed the DirectX that comes with the game

I am running Vista, quad core, 8 gb of ram on a TV for a monitor. any help is appreciated

HA! I got a glimpse of the error message. it said: "can't create game module: can't create renderer instance, reason: can't create database custom header file"

Hmm, did you try the Tension Game forums?

My game works well with the new updates (although not sure about PhysX).
