I don't understand Mycelium/Summoners

This is the ONLY information I can find on these creatures and I don't understand still. From what I've read I am supposed to use Color on it so it spawns mushrooms. I waited until it stopped saying "The summoner will restore in a few cycles" before trying to feed it. I used a ton of color on the one by Uta in Heathen but didn't notice any change. It just started bobbing its head and spitting out the color I gave it.

Can somebody give me more detailed description of what I'm supposed to do with these and how I'm supposed to know they actually did something?

as i remember, after u feed it colour, u gota quickly run around the area and look for those mushrooms. the mushrooms will appear in random places in same chamber. more colour u give it, the more time u have to find them all.

I would suggest to fill yourself with azure, to get a lot of speed, feed summoner with around -30 of color that you have the most, I used violet, and then quickly run around the area and collect as much mushrooms as you can, they are easy to spot, because they emit light.

I don't understand it either. I fed it 120 color (just in case) and it did nothing. Just said that same thing about being restored in a few cycles. There were no mushrooms, no light, no nothing. This game really needs a lot of work.
