Savage Resurrection Status - 1/06/2017 UPDATE
Hello everyone!

We've been listening to the community and their requests of making this game Free to Play to help with the growth and population of the game. We appreciate the feedback and suggestions that everyone has given as well as all of the supporters during Beta and Early Access leading into the official release.

With all of that being said, it is not 100% guaranteed that the game will enter a Free to Play stage. We are definitely looking into it and hope to do it soon if we do.

S2 Games would like to wish everyone a happy New Years and hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

On that note, here are some retail keys to get you in-game :)

All keys redeemed

UPDATE 1/04/2017

Hello everyone!

I'd like to inform everyone that after a great deal of discussion and consideration, we are looking to make the game Free to Play on or before 1/06/2017 (this Friday).

Keep an eye out on the game's store page to see when it's gone Free to Play!

Thanks again for your patience and we look forward to seeing you in-game

UPDATE 1/06/2017
We're just waiting on Valve to flip the "Free to Play switch".

Thanks for the keys man!

I like the idea but having to spend 20$ on it just for it to be made free to play is kinda of annoying.

I hope they at least fix the obvious bugs this year...
Finally responding to your community is a very good thing. I hope its not too late, because your game is one I really don't want to enter the death spiral.
Eh, all the codes were gone after one day :/ FeelsBadMan
I think it's too late. You make it f2p while the game still has players so they can tell their friends its free and they can get it without paying. Not when there's literally nobody left. Who is gonna spread the word?
Nobody wanted the game to die but you guys made your choice when you decided to do nothing for months at a time. You needed to act and you chose to ♥♥♥♥♥ out, game is dead now.
I bet you can get those keys for $1 on the same scammers websites like before.
Both my friends got keys and I really enjoyed playing this game when it had 100+ players, if you can breathe some life in to the game I'm going to have the time of my life.

So...you're giving away keys for free when I paid money THIS soon after 'release'. That makes me feel good as a paying customer (/sarcasm). Plan on doing anything for those of us who paid money and feel like we're getting the short end of the stick? It hasn't been 3 months since release.

Please note that I played most of your games to date: Savage 1, Savage 2, Heroes of Newerth, and Savage: Resurrection, and paid for all of them. While all of them you eventually went free to play, it took well over a year for you to do that. This is under 3 months, so literally, what the hell? This is the first time I've felt burned by a company.

^ Seriously, stfu. You paid money for the game, great. So did I. Were you doing anything with the game? More specifically, were you having fun by yourself? You know, since there's nobody to play with? If they manage to get people back I don't even care if the new people don't have to play, but THERE ARE UNDERLYING ISSUES THAT ALSO NEED TO BE FIXED. F2P by itself is a short term solution.

Great...another victim blamer. Maybe the people paying the company shouldn't be shoved under the bus, and instead the company should take responsibility to ensure paying customers have some sort of benefit over free to play customers, if they go that route, to make them feel like their money is worth more than those who got free keys.

Picatrix, go back to league of legends or some other kiddy game for people who rage quit, etc. if you're going to tell me to stfu in the first 2 words of your first paragraph. That's pathetic, and you're acting like a troll, which you likely are since you responded within a minute of my response.

To answer your brief question, I enjoyed the game for about 2 weeks, before the population died off, then there was nobody to play with. This is the first game I've ever purchased that became unplayable after 2 weeks. Given that the AI is not a valid option (AI is terrible, and no substitute for humans in what is considered a multiplayer game, and minimal effort was put into the AI), the game requires humans to be playable.

Let's put it this way...Titanfall 1's multiplayer population was higher a year after release when I picked that up for $5 than I can find right now for Savage: Resurrection just a couple months after release. Note that Titanfall 1's population nosedived for various reasons.

What the ♥♥♥♥ does "take responsibility" even mean? What do you want them to do? And stop saying "we". I'm a paying customer and I don't agree with you for ♥♥♥♥.

I'll say whatever I want to you. If you can't deal with it then don't be here. A response to your post didn't take very long, don't know how that makes me a troll.

I'm not going to take sides here, I'm not informed enough to make a decision on that. But we all have one thing in common here: We're consumers. We should be looking out for each other, not insulting each other. If you must critize, please do so in a way that actually helps. I'm aware Savage may very well be a dying game, but we can at least try to help it back with critisim.
