Disappearing Act

I log in, I choose a server, but instead of getting my list of four characters, I go to the new character select screen as though it was my very first time playing. Why is it doing that and how do I fix it?

it happen to me too and a lot more. I think everything is new

I thought it'd been my internet but after talking with others it seemed to be a server problem that PF just didn't announce.

The game plays fine now, but I still can't make a new character. I read on the forums that the limit was sixteen and I have four. I get stuck and the new ones don't register :|
