Escape from Wither will most likely be DLC, sorry about that. We hope that possibly with discounts on Welcome to Glimmer, people can try it and see if they enjoy the difficulty level.
There is a solid 20 hours of gameplay in Welcome to Glimmer and it's certainly worth the $8, but I'm sure there will be a time where the entire game is packaged for $15. The date of release is still only tentative, so I couldn't say for sure when that DLC will be out, but that is the current plan. Thanks so much for the interest!
Don't worry about it; it's mostly the big studios that have screwed me over with the DLC. I bought the GOTY edition of Civ V and though I was set. A few months later, they introduced the Gold Edition which was a $5 upgrade and acted like a Season Pass so I went for it, assuming that was the end. Now they've gotten rid of both and there's the "Complete Edition."
As long as you promise not to do that, we're good
If anything, we've discussed making free installment upgrades on the core game. We love the world and all, we're exploring the space. Plus, we're a team of 3, so the lag time is just based on having such a small crew. But we're pretty open with the community of people that play our games, so we're always happy to hear your thoughts on it all, so thank you for the input
