I'm not typically a multiplayer person, especially when it comes to modern games. Most focus on killstreaks and perks. There's no skill, no speed, and certainly no fun to be had in the repetitive grind of these. That's why I actually enjoy Half-Life Deathmatch: Source. The multiplayer is minimalistic, simplistic and barebones, which is absolutely great. It's one of those games you can just play for a few minutes, just to unwind. There's no complex objectives or custom classes. Just some maps, some basic modes, and a group of dedicated players. It may be a tough game to get into, as its remaining players are pretty skilled. But, if you convince a few friends to buy it, you'll most certainly have a blast.
Plus, you get Half-Life: Source when you buy this. So you get an excellent storydriven campaign and classic deathmatch multiplayer for $9.99. If you're a fan of the classic shooters, there is no reason to not buy this.
