UI unresponsive

After loading the game up the UI will stop responding and I cannot select anything, this will happen only a few moments after loading the game.

Do you mean the UI in the opening menus, or actually in the game. Does this happen when you start a new game, or only when you load a a saved one ?

Trying to play multiplayer, happens in menus or in-game, time between this happening varies slightly, but it does tend to happen fairly quickly

No, it will happen no matter what

Do you have some sort of unusual peripheral attacked, game pad, super duper gaming mouse etc.

Tried unplugging my controller, still does it

Sorry, not sure what it could be. You could try unplugging from the internet or log off of Steam. Bit of a long shot, but could possibly be an issue.
