Would like to see this on linux, i didn't take interest in the humble bundles when trine was available and missed out. Would definetely buy it if it were made available here.

Like a few of the other Humble games, I'm puzzled about why these games already exist on Linux and yet the ports weren't given to Steam? I unlocked many of them with Humble Steam Keys that I got from my Humble Library that contained the Linux version of the games! Confusing. @_@
Anyway, consider this yet another vote of interest to see this game's Linux port brought to Steam.

I just bought this game already having already played it from humble bundle on linux some time ago, so I didn't even look at the platform support, just expected it to work.

Very confusing indeed ;)

It is a technical issue of sorts. The Linux (and Mac) ports of the Shadowgrounds games and Trine were done by a partner company and we don't actually have the sources yet. The SG games also contain a couple of annoying bugs that we'd like to have fixed before releasing them for a wider audience on Steam, if we are doing it.

So if we figure those out we'll probably eventually bring the games to Steam Linux - Trine is the likely one to come out first and the SG games later. I can't give any estimates though if we are doing this, it will take a long time. If/when we finally get the games on Steam Linux, we'll give Steam keys for all customers who send us a receipt or such proof of ownership on other services etc, if you're wondering.

But unfortunately we cannot make any promises regarding this :(

The Linux version of Trine was done some time ago. What is causing the extremely long delay in Shadowgrounds getting the sources so you can add it on Steam?

As soon as it will be on steam, I will bought it, cause I missed humble. I finished part 2, but It would be great to play part 1 as well.
