Can't skip waves

I don't know if this is intentional, but why can't I skip a wave until the very last second? I definitely remember being able to do this before, and I can't beat any of my highscores made in the alpha version anymore because of this. Please help if you know any fixes

Hello Ben Moon,
We found that game gets easier number of enemies in narrow corridor is over certain number. That's why we limited the skippable period.

I'm sorry but I think we shouldn't fix that part.
