I saw on some YT videos before i bought the game that you can select between 3-4 difficulties....but in game there is only 'Blood' difficulty or just normal.....and the people in the YT videos were at the exact stage i am at (just finished crossroads).

Its probably an older version of the game, you will get more runes the more maps you clear.
