Good to hear! I was wandering about it myself. Mind if I post the news to /r/linux_gaming?

Very good news!

Crossing fingers that it is a proper port, like something akin to Feral/Aspyr's body of work regarding OS X/Linux ports.

Please, no simple Wine-esq wrap... it always ends up as a buggy joke, and now a Steam refund.

Cheers

It's up to our programmer, but we'll do our best!

Awesome! Just came in here to ask. Mac gamers are always up for more indie/adventure games-- or at least, I am, so I'm happy. Thank you so much!

Has anyone had success on OSX using VMWare Fusion?

ETA: updated a Win7 VM in OSX and just thrown the dice and bought the PC version - slow broadband, so long download, but fingers crossed.

ETA: installed and running, but severe problems in full-screen mode. Adding -windowed to the launch options and dropping the resolution etc. helped, but still unplayably slow unfortunately. Worth a try, but have requested a refund and look forward to an OSX native version at some point. Just have to avoid spoilers :)

Hi! Thanks for pinging me on the linux version. I would LOVE to have a linux version for this, and it was in the plan to do so! Unfortunately we are down an engineer at this time and I am unable to port the game to linux. I would still liek to hope that one day we can still deliver on a linux version. If you know any engineers who are willing to work for the sheer passion of making games, please send them my way! Contact@apelaw.com

What engine does the game runs on? Maybe I can help you port the game for free.
If the engine is custom made I would advise you to contact gamingonlinux.com and leave a message about this, Im sure they will be glad to help

On VR-
Sorry that youre having a less than optimal experience. ApeLaws development team is a solo effort:yours truly. Right now were a skeleton crew of one. We got into VR very early and have learned a lot. Oculus has been a great partner and is very encouraging of our efforts. The Oc version runs great with positional tracking. We had hoped that the port to Vive would be smoother. Im plugging away on this passion project because I believe in it but with the limited resources available to a truly indie studio I have to choose whether to focus on improving the VR version of Ep1 or finishing Ep2. I decided over the summer to apply lessons learned on Ep1 from the ground up to Ep2 That is what I’m plugging away at day in and out for everyone right now. I'm sorry that the Vive version is not perfect for you. I hope you enjoy the content regardless of how it performs on your headset. Know ant VR engineers who are willing to work for the passion of creating games alone?
