Kicked because of friendly fire!
This makes 0 sanse, almost every game you get kicked if you play commander!
You start bombing you let everyone know what position you are bombing and everyone from your team ♥♥♥♥ing banzais in your artillery!

Ditto; the only time I ever get TKs with arty is if it's a clutch defence on a point that's being banzaiid or if the squad leaders demand it, despite having poor marks.

Arty goes behind the point; not on it. Smoke goes between the enemy and the CP; not between your team and the CP.

It could be worse. I have been on a server were I got kicked for Idle several times which made using a LMG really hard. I also have had a server auto balance me after I got like five kills and then it counts them as team killing.

I've never played a game where so many people will run directly into your line of fire... it's frustrating. Does anyone know the point of typing np and forgiveness? Does forgiveness result in the tk not counting to the server?

Day of Defeat Source friendly fire servers have a prompt that pops up stating that a particular player tked you and would you like to forgive or not.

Why something along those lines wasn't put into this game is another head scratcher. TWI should have put a feature of that sort into this game as well as a server que.(another feature of the HL2 based Valve games that's been around for more than a decade..)

Players on your team WILL run into your arty no matter how many times you tell them. Not only that, most of them will not forgive your accidental tk, and also, alot of players have no idea how to forgive or what all that entails. This is why those aforementioned features should be industry standard in fps at this stage.

I enjoy this game, but I also have moments of real disappointment at TWI for not adding a few features that would go along way to alleviate alot of frustration at simple issues of the game.

But it's not all TWI's fault. Accidental tks will happen...alot. I would dare say at least 25% of tickets are lost by tks in any given map. The frustrating thing is most are not forgiven due to immature players that get butthurt and decide not to do the cool thing and type 'np'. The community needs to smarten up, play as a team and not get so indignant about tks.

It is you just type forgive or np in chat.

Also I disagree with some people on how to use artillery I like to use morters right on a point instead of behind it you can clear the point of most resistance and a good large banzai usally overwhealms the point. I use the heavy artillary to cut the enemy off and Naval fire to wipe a point out if the morter and heavy artillery fail to do the job.

The point of my post was players WILL NOT take the time to type 'np' or DO NOT know how to forgive, hence the stating of what is used very effectively in other games to make that process almost dummy proof.

How would a brand new player to this game have any idea that they need to type 'np' or 'forgive' into a chat channel to clear a tk? Even if told by other players they might not understand what it is they're suppose to do.

There are prompts all around us in everyday life to remind people to do certain things, because quite frankly the average Joe is a dumb@ss. My point was that there should be one in ALL fps to alleviate the frustration and confusion about forgiving tks.

I'm not surprised you didn't understand my original post, because you obviously don't understand other elements of this game like dropping arty. You never drop arty right on the point because teammates will run into it. If you drop arty like you say I don't know how you stay in a game long enough to drop more than one arty barrage before you're kicked for tking.

The game does say in the chat "type 'np' in chat to forgive". Though I do agree that it's not obvious enough, especially for new players.

It isn't obvious enough, that's why I believe Day of Defeat Source friendly fire servers have the perfect solution, put a box on the screen that notifies you that you have been tked, and will stay there until you choose and click on a response, yes or no to forgive the tk, then the box disappears.

It's simple and brilliant and eliminates alot of frustration.

I've had this game for 2 weeks. I'm already lvl 50 MG. The other day I got kicked for friendly fire. I had 150 kills (two long back to back games on metalserver). So please please, with sugar on top, DON'T RUN OUT 3 METERS IN FRONT OF YOUR MACHINE GUNNER -- AND GIVE ME AMMO. (big THANKS to those players that take the 3 seconds to hit cntrl by me :) )

thanks,
your friendly neighborhood MG34
