NOt points for weapons.
What I mentioned earlier is for your honor. And it isn't just 1 point for each thing. Next time your in a game pay attention to how many points you get for taking objectives and killing people. Look at the scoreboard. There is only 4 sl's and 1 tl. Notice how many overall points people have vs. their kills.
I mean, I still need 20 or so honor points for my next rank (rank 3x) but have so much XP as a squad leader...
Would that make sense?
That's not the question, is it?!
I would rather like to know how to get more honor :)
In a round you can earn kill points and team points. Both together are the honor points you recieve at the end of a round. So if you get 100 team points and 20 kills you will recieve 120 honor points.
Well pretty easy, play well and you get honor. :)
When it comes to the class levels they are linked to certain honor levels. To advance to a certain class level you also need to meet a specific honor level. You can check those requirements an the stats option in the main menu.
But, I don't understand how it's possible that I've earned so much XP and so little honor... You'll get XP by just spending time on a server then, will you!? ;)
Also weapons and classes level in general faster as your honor level.
Thanks for the idea but this can't be it: As mentioned, I usually play as a squad leader. In the end the score is something like: 160 team points - 20 kills.
Honor points are translated from general points in a match and are gained by contributing to caps (more points for more friendlies in cap), resupplying MGs, getting assists, getting kills, destroying enemy obstacles/ emplacements, bonus points for vehicle kills, having people spawn on you (as SL), protecting your commander, or being an SL and having your mark be used for artillery (you'll get a kill assist point for every enemy killed).
By the nature of this system, you can hit class level caps very easily and be stuck at a certain class level (especially if you consistently play one class) for a while. But every level of honor takes progressively more points to reach the next one, so you're encouraged to switch up your classes and progress them while you contribute to the much slower, overall Honor level.
It takes a while and can be grindy, but that's sort of the point of most leveling systems; put in a lot of time, get benefits in the long run and have something to strive towards.
