Red Orchestra 2: On its deathbed?
I just think its hit the same old song-and-dance oncemore; before the Rising Storm days. Yes, RS was a temporary relief from the previous mundane, but I think RS is suffering Ro2's fate; with repeating maps and class exploiation. Anyone else think the same?

It happens all the time. Boost in players, lower player count. We have lots of content in the future to revitalize the community again.

1) Two new weapons: PPS-42, Type 97 sniper rifle
2) New RS map: Betio
3) New vehicles from the community for HoS (this is the most important, imo)
4) A new official game type: Skirmish (meant for up to 8 players)
5) A new map contest which allows for both RS and HoS maps to be entered.
You can see a bunch of new maps the community is working on here: http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/forumdisplay.php?f=84
Repeating maps... and new ones being added all the time, is a problem?

Class exploitation??? wtf does that even mean?

Fact of the matter is RO2 is the finest FPS that exists, that is what it is supposed to be and that is what delivers... It is not for everyone, others prefer more training wheels when it comes to their FPS...

It is for me. When I need a good FPS fix, this is the game I and many others of discerning taste and exceptional skill tend to play.
Oh look, its the weekly "Its dead" thread.

Hey, it's been a tradition since the game launched 2 years ago. Who are you to stand in the way of tradition?

I gues not many people still love the WWII era in fps' as much as there used to be. meanwhile Id love to see a modern day Red Orchestra.
At least this chap gives some decent reasoning, rather than 2000 players = dead. Personally, no, I don't think it's dead, but on the other hand it has quietened off a bit. I can still find populated servers, so I'm happy. I just wish I could load maps up faster so that I could choose a decent class. I *really* want to finally level assault up, it's so annoying that apparently only Barashka still runs it...
So I'm playing a dead game with 63 lads each day for several hours? Well I have no problem with that.
again?! another "It's dead" topic? listen, I'v play BF3 and RO/RS and I can tell you one thing, when you play RS/RO once and you go back to BF3 you realize what is it meant when you say FPS.

Yes, RO2 and RS are pretty dead.
TWI failed to optimize, iron out bugs and could not achieve what TWI promised themselves.

What are you doing away from the kids table?

Obviously there are less players around then at the peek times of Free Weekend on Steam but the game is not dead yet.
Class exploitation I guess means people abusing OP classes? Of course classes are not balanced but getting the best out of every class is fun. I just wish they would stop the MGs from beeing fired of the hip.
