Grenade Protips?
I often find myself skulking around a corner, fairly confident there are enemies around it. I switch to my grenade, but get waxed before I can either put it out or switch back to my firearm. Any tips?

Start thinking about grenades before you get shot. Use the enviroment to maybe pull off a bounce throw, use suicide grenade if you play j ap (it's fun).

You don't need to be Japanese to suinade. As long as you're not a squad leader and your team has enough tickets left, go for it. If you're going to grenade, you have to be assertive about it, though. If you hesitate to throw one, just don't. And don't forget to cook the grenade.

Yep, with the russian limonkas, use your melee button when you're preparing to throw. You'll hear a 'ping' and it will begin to cook. No one seems to expect a cooked bomb (bomb being the old British term for grenades) and it's very satisfying to get it to explode as it reaches its destination.

I think the German ones begin a 6 second fuse as soon as you prepare to throw them, but I've never held one long enough to find out.

One thing that players forgot to do is that you can throw grenade while being in cover. Just hold Middle mouse button, and you will throw blind grenade without exposing urself. Like in 1st training mission.

I did that and it bounced off the lip of the cover and killed me and someone else. I do dislike the cover mechanic, but it's handy for resting one's weapon steady.

Cover mechanic is useless 99% of the time. Your head sticks out and makes you a freekill.

I rarely use it, but it has had its utility in certain cases, such as resting a weapon on the crates (as a defender) in the main part of B on grain elevator. Resting weapons on windows and the like is an invitation to having your melon shot off.

I pretty much never use the cover system. Your weapon can rest on cover without having to stick to cover anyways. You can see a little bipod icon at the bottom-right of your screen when that happens.
