Rising Storm/Red Orchestra 2 Multiplayer
Medic Class?
I think a medic class would be awesome in this game, like a battlefield medic that runs while he's getting shot to save a friendly soldier. Sometimes, when we die, our soldier is "crying" on the ground and has his hand on his wound. Maybe the medic could heal them or just help the guys that don't have any bandages left... Just an idea !

We do not have plans to add a medic. At least on the eastern front they were shot on sight. We also treat any injury in game that would make you combat ineffective as a death.

makes sense otherwise you wouldnt respawn and you would just be sent to the infirmity to recoup and recover for a few months.
Alright, I didn't say anything... but thanks for answering me.
Yea lets get some defib paddles so when you get hit with c4 or a rpg you can stand back up and fight.
would it be possible to implement those who's bleed to death to you know...'saved' by nearby teammates?

Not that he'll suddenly go back and 'revive' but give the guy a quicker time to respawn or something?

I feel really terrible each time I take cover behind boxes or sandbags and the guy next to me just cry and bleed to death and you can't do anything--it's sad :(
Well i dont think this would work,i mean think about how fast we get killed? Half the time you get shot it´s a fatal wound that instantly kills you or cause you to die a few seconds later,in the rare times you get time to bandage yourself its only a few seconds before you bleed out so there would be no time for medics to go running around to heal people at all...
Hate to say it , But CoD 3 had the best WWII Medic Class Ever. But yeah, If you were shot, You'd be on Medical Leave, So I can understand why its missing from the game.
it would be better if there was a triage center on each side of the field, and a medic would have tp fireman carry bodies to it, and for each body recieved, you get a respawn ticket back for that team.

Brilliant idea! I would love to see that in a fps. It would be exciting to have a comrade slung over your shoulder weaving and bobbing through enemy fire!

Perhaps a better solution would have been to allow players to gift bandages to others?

In those cases where a teammate is doing his 'death sway,' it may have been a good idea to allow another player to reach out and say, "...rub some of this Robitussin on it!"

I speak of RO2 only in the past tense nowadays due to the fact that it's pretty much glitch-vucked to death at this point.

cool concept but not really practical in the fast paced style of gameplay - I am annoyed that it's so easy to bandage myself and at the same time am annoyed that it takes so long lol.

^^ is a pretty neat idea!

Bandaging used to take 2 seconds until it was changed to 4 seconds due to all the complaining about it being too fast. I'm happy with the current 4 seconds.

So there wasn't a middle ground at 3? lol.
