Why do russians always lose the campaign
I bought this game last summer. Since then I've only been playing campaign mode as russians on HoS servers. It seems to be imbalanced as my profile stats of HoS display: w/l 0.09 (39/403). So my question is, why do russians always lose in the HoS campaign? Or am I just unlucky always playing on the wrong server and always playing with incredibly bad people?
Once I also joined the Axis forces and for some reason I won, it actually didn't feel like imbalanced to me but.. well, idk maybe someone could explain to me why russians always lose in the campaign mode.

Play on the Russian community server, it's pretty much the opposite.

Hello there

Its all down to the team. The more organised team always wins in my experience.

I think the Germans attract alot of western players as one can more easily identify with that side over the russians.

In real life Im somewhat of a Communist but in game I prefer playing the Germans in RO2 or the Japanese in RS.

I dont see anyone intelligent playing sides to suit their political views.

Lastly, when folks are on the loosing side they tend to defect or drop out which means until the auto balance kicks in the opposing team has an advantage which tends to carry through, especially in campaign mode.

You are generalizing alot

So I'll do that too!

Germans - more popular in Germany/EU.
Russians - more popular in Russia.

Russian server - Russian vets stomping
German/.. server - German/.. vets stomping

I always like to play the nazi's. So do the most people, this are a couple of reason:"
germans like to play as germans (duh)
trollers mostly like to play as germans
most people play on the german side because they mostly win
and I also heard some people saying that is was ''cool'' to play as a nazi.

I'm American, but man do I like to play as Japan to do some banzai charges. I try to play both sides, but I do like to playing as German because German's a pretty badass language.

I agree, it's just frustrating to see the other team always (91% of the games) to be better organized than ours.
I don't think it has a huge impact whether the players feel attracted to a team since the teams get balanced in the chosing phase so one won't outman another.
I'm from the west and I dislike to play as a nazi. Difficult to generalise that one.
Your last point might be true. Even though I don't see many people spawn afking.
In RS I like to play as japan btw. Their music is just badass :D Also I think Japanese suck at attacking, luckily they have to defend on almost every map, that's why I dislike the campaign mode in RS. In HoS, there actually is not much of team balancing since both teams use almost identical guns.

I don't want to start a new discussion so I'll just ask here: If i set my japanese light artillery to 50 meters. where do I have to aim if I want the bullet to fly exactly 50 meters? I often see how I kill people at 38 meters when I'm aiming at 50.

I see russian teams plow through the german's quite easily on campaign mode.

I think the allied teams are significantly more powerful than the axis on RO2 for several reasons, and its bizarre seeing german's being preferred.

The SVT-40 and PPs, the staple of advanced classes, are significantly better than their german counterpart, mostly due to higher damage, more responsiveness, and faster reloading. The Russian tank, for all intents and purposes, is better than the German one, mostly because the german one is very easy to destroy with an AT rifle, and is ironically easier to handle with one player in it. The Ppsh is a bullet hoze that dominates apartments and anything close range. The germans have to make do with an MP40, of which bullets do less damage, and travel less far before dropping.

Their MG's, once veteran level, are the same as the German's, completely destroying any firepower advantage

Elite assault classes vastly favor the russian side. Its basically an all in one sniper with the close range firepower of an SVT-40. the VkB feels like an extended range MP-40, and the axis don't really have any good close range firepower.

Even the riflemen, has a slight advantage for the russians, in that the Mosin is easier to shoot at distance than the Kar98k.

I think many people mistake the Germans superior because they are more aesthetically pleasing compared to the simple, robust Soviet weapons with their "primitive" wood construction.

I have to disagree regarding the T-34. While it might be slightly more resistant to AT rifle bullets, I find visibility to be worse, but most importantly, it's possible to lock the damned thing in a perpetual 'stunned' state by hitting the right hand side of the turret with the PzIV's main gun. The gunner is guarenteed to be killed and you can't respond until another crewman has switched positions by which time another shell whams into you and the next crew member is killed. I have had markedly less luck doing a similar thing on the PzIV.

You just had a bad luck with a team.As for tanks i prefer t34 over pz4.
Angels of Deadbeats 11 Out, 2013 às 8:31
You see, the German team is not superior, but easier to play, just like Americans in Rising Storm. If a bad German team goes up against a bad Russian team, chances are Germans will win. But if a bad German team faces a veteran Russian team they will be stomped to pieces. Germans have been winning a lot recently thanks to these sales = a lot of new players, that aren't too sure what to do, how to play roles right etc. Wait about a month, when the players are familiar with the game, and it'll be good.
1+ To you for sticking with russian team all this time
