So are you committed to stay or leave now that Battlefield 4 is out?

When I first joined there were a ton of players, the past months we've seen some a fall out. Now with Battlefield 4 out I except the numbers to plunge even more. This game offers team work that you don't find a lot of in the Battlefield games. Are you concerned this game will become a desert?

The guns look better than they ever have in the series (what I saw of them)-- but they are all tinny sounding, with sloppy handling...as usual

BF4 looks better in terms of gameplay than COD has been with their latest bowel movements of late...

Still not enough to make me wan to partake.

I have preordered BF4 and I'm going to play it a lot. But I'll never leave RO2. BF4 is great fun for a couple of months, RO2 for a couple years.

pff, after bf3 it has been bye to Dice/EA from me, i'm deffo staying for RS, done with "mainstream" FPS games. BF2 was where it was as at imo :'(

BF4? nah. my son can play tha one. i'll stick with RO2/RS! with the same core group since launch, i might add. the same 1,000 or so since the beginning. the rest come and go.

My problem is price and computing power. My Little Laptop That Could can only run this game on low graphical settings without much issues.

Given that I have other uses for 60$, RO2/RS is good "enough" that i'd keep updating it with 10-20$ expansions.

Also, modern warfare is much more linear in game-play, as in the number of classes is severely reduced due to standardization.

This. This is why WW2 era warfare is more interesting. It pre dates the Assault Rifle as the main weapon. So you got different weapons for different jobs. SMGs for up close, bolt action rifles for long range, semi auto rifles for between that still loose out against SMGs, shotguns and the occasional good pistol user.

BF4 or any popular game realease will have a small impact on RO for a limited time, but RO has its own small core community and will be niche but healthy for some time to come.
