Server administrator, please read this.
Being the workshop full of awesome maps, why don't servers use them???? I mean, it's been a long time since I have played a map from the workshop on any server. I remember playing Streets of Stalingrad some weeks ago on classic mode and I haven't seen it since then. Specially the RS servers. Don't they realize that having just 5-6 maps sucks being able to play the mod maps? I have seen RS servers not even including Betio... I don't understand it. And now that TWI is going to implement Universal Carrier and Sd.Kfz. 251 people will make new larger maps. It would be a waste not to use those new maps.

Server administrators or whoever with the power to do so, use the maps made by the community. They're great, they're fun and brings lots of fresh air to the game.

Ro2 Community is crap compared to the good old days. Most servers are afraid to host Custom maps, "uh it hurts the playerbase so we dont host them". If you want try out some custommaps join the pgg clan server. It has most of them in rotation.

The problem is that the map sizes are huge compared to RO1s maps. This results in very long downloading times and it can easily kill off an entire server.
The 29th ID is doing events http://steamcommunity.com/groups/29RSpub join this group if you want announcements for them, we usually fill the server pretty quickly :)

Tripwire's decision to allow these third party amateurs to control the multiplayer experience was disastrous. Server admins like those at 2fjgclan truly do not understand issues like this and instead concern themselves with being "hall monitors" and (almost) randomly banning RO2 owners.

It costs money to host a server. They can do what they want with it.

...and they certainly do. Hence, the criticism of Tripwire for not picking up the cost themselves so that they could manage their own game. Got it?

Really ♥♥♥♥ing annoying +1.

I remember having a few customs in rotation for a very limited timeframe some months ago.
Only once saw a custom RS map. R02 is on it's deathbed for me anyways, only hope seems to be FE.

I really want to see more of the custom maps on TWB's campaign servers. Univermag, Streets, Myoshkova (sp?) in particular, but others also!

+1 Myshkova River. I played on that map. Would be great on a 64 player server.

Its not the server admins fault , as they can play what they want on their server.
Their are a few servers which run only custom maps or a combination of both, the problem being that players don't use them.
It takes a few people to seed a server and hey presto it will fill up.
But most of the popular servers find if they have more than two custom maps in a row people leave.

The Japan Server has a custom map pack, see http://yaplog.jp/rsjpn

If RO2/RS community vote some custom maps to make a downloadable pack, and update the pack regularly, will it make the admins and the players to support custom maps more easily?
