Beware of ''Realism'' mode
It is not realistic in any way, it is a mere action mode without the crosshair!

If you truly want realism, play classic mode. That is closest to what the game can offer realismwise.

TWI is having a hard time in the semantics department and some words are actually the opposite of what they mean in this game.

TL;DR: real men that like a realistic style of gameplay play Classic mode.

Classic mode died. Get over it.

There is nothing wrong with realism...
Mormacil 4 de jan às 16:52
Classic is not realistic. Ever seen a trained soldier fire a weapon? He you know can aim? Also he can do this thing called running. Really handy invention since the dawn of time. Soldiers were trained and fit, not old aged, slow and a poor shot.

Apparently he used to go by the moniker "Hentai Hentai Bonsai". Food for thought.

Yeah, Classic Mode is more realistic.

Oh crap I was just shot and I'm bleeding. I better bandage that up quick.... Oh wait the bleeding stopped, the wound vanished & I can carry on like nothing happened. How realisitc, WOW!

All I have on me is my uniform, helmet, my weapon in my hand, its ammo and some grenades. I've been trained for a long time how to use all of this stuff and I'm fit as a fiddle to make it through basic training.... Now I'm going to run from this spot to over there by the truck which is about the length of two houses on a street.... *huff puff... Gasp.... Weezzz* Holy crap I'm exhausted.

Now I'll try and aim.... Holy crap, I'm swaying around like a drunk Motha'♥♥♥'a.

Like wow! Classic is so Realistic. Where has it been all my life?

I love how there's no HUD elements on my screen like Realism..... Oh wait, why do I have a useless Compass shoved in my face? Oh wait, the HUD still pops up when an objective changes hands or when I hit the tactical view button just like Realism.... Yet Realism hides everything on screen, including the more useful Mini Map and doesn't have that dumb compass.

I love how PPSH's get their Drum Mags by default.... Oh but the MG34 is not allowed to have the common belt feed that existed.

Classic is Sooooo Realistic.... It's so much better than Realism Mode. That's why everybody is playing it.

Oh Wait..... They're not and the only people who still do are elitist prcks who think they're better than everybody else and know what realism actually is.

Am I close?

So you want to run, stop n shoot your gun accurately to farm headshots 200m+ kills all within a second and with bionic zoom? No problem in realistic.

If I want to play realism mode, I will start up CoD5: WaW thank you very much.

Haha that was such an unintentialy funny video.

Prior to the First World War the regular British Army were expected to be dropping targets at ranges in excess of 500 yards with their first shot. They were also required to pass the so-called mad minute -- a sprint to a firing position followed by a 300 yard rapid shoot, where they had to get at least 15 rounds onto a 12-inch target. The usual grouping was often tighter than 12 inches, and they often managed more than 15 rounds (the record being 38[!]).

So it is in fact feasible to do something similar to what you describe, although in the context of a hasitly trained recruit, probably considerably less so. But outside of video games, 200m is not a particularly a long distance to shoot at.
Praxius 5 de jan às 3:11
It's a Focus, not Zoom and it's a lot more realistic to have the monitor bring things in front of you to a close 1:1 scale.

Oh wait... the MG class still gets the "Zoom" in Classic Mode.... and all the other classes have pre-set "Zooms" depending on the weapon being held.... so that's a good argument you have there. Seems you missed that aspect of your wonderful Classic Mode's Realism.

And realism not only has sway, but affected sway from low stamina and not being braced.

All within a second huh?

Well how fast does it take a trained, fit soldier to do the above?

Do you know?

All I know is that Classic makes me feel like this:

200m is the distance I was trained to fire a Lee Enfield when I was a kid.... it's not difficult if you know what you're doing.

Suuuuuure mister internethero you can pull of headshots 200m+ after sprinting all within one second like in realism CoD-mode :')
Praxius 5 de jan às 4:31
Again, tell me oh wise one.... How long should it take exactly?

How many seconds should it take.

How fast and accurate do you think you would be if your life actually depended on it?
TheFish 5 de jan às 5:54
About the only thing from classic i'd like to see in realism is the delay in bringing up the irons - that's the only realy meaningful change in terms of realism. Everyhing else is over done in my opinion.

for the record I play and enjoy both modes.
Groene_Thee (Banido(a)) 5 de jan às 6:12
Realism has the most players right now, but much more players have left the game, because they don´t like any of the current modes.

Maybe some of them did not try classic before, because it was not available or it was too lame - for the last big update... who cares? The truth is a lot of people own RO2 but only a few are playing it until now. And a lot of RO1-player have quit a long time ago, CoD-crowd that wants something unrealistic like this ''realism'' mode (I call it cod mode without crosshair, same style of gameplay) filled their places.
