Like I said in the OP, I'm always treated like an idiot, or just a jerk, sometimes both, because I want to play on another map.
Also, in regards to Grain Elevator, I think a good deal of it may be that they just want a map that's easy to spawn camp on, since that seems to be what happens at least 70% of the time I play on that map.
Campaign is easier to find and you have only one round per map, but sadly you can often see the same maps win in that too, depending on what maps are fighting each other on the campaign map areas. Since it's a vote, many things also effect it, like the team ofcourse, the first vote for somereason and ofcourse anything anyone shouts in Voip, no matter wich team they come from. And Bridges, cause, you know, bridges.
I'm alright with Winterwald but heck, I usually log out immediately if there's another round of Bridges.
Ootori Shima is somewhat similar; being that it can take forever but yep only a few vote to attack it in campaign/matches.
I think a good solution for all of these overused maps would be to have dedicated servers, made and run by Tripwire, that play said maps back-to-back 24/7 so that everyone else can have a break from them.
This is a solution to several problems but Tripwire does little to nothing to populate its own servers for this game.
