What does the retail version of Rising Storm include, same as Steam?
Heya, I really want to buy Rising Storm, because you get all the multiplayer content of RO2 with it for free, wich is a huge plus. But I also know that there is a boxed retail copy of RS available. Know, can somebody explain to me if the retail copy on disc of RS also includes the multiplayer of RO2? I won't buy the retail version if it only includes RS, and not MP RO2. I don't really care about the singleplayer, but if it's also included, nice! I prefer my games on disc if there's a retail option..I know they talk about the singleplayer of RO2 being available on RS disc as an extra, with Rising storm of course. (Example stated here: http://www.gamasutra.com/view/pressreleases/194460/Rising_Storm_retail_edition_to_hit_UK_Stores_on_June_21st2013.php), but what about the multiplayer? So if I activate the retail version here on Steam, will I get the same content as available on Steam (like here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/234510/); So RS + MP RO2 + GOTY stuff etc..

Thx in advance.

If you have any version of Rising Storm, It includes the multiplayer content of Red Orchestra 2. I strongly recommend you buy this off steam and just download the game normally. That way you get the sale price, (plus there are probably like 8 Gigs of patching you will need to download anyways)

Yeah, I'm in doubt about getting steam or retail. I was confused at first, because there exist a "Rising Storm" and "Rising Storm/Red Orchestra 2 combo pack" thingy in retail, so that doesn't help to make things clear.. But I think that was before the R02MP was included in RS, dunno.. Yeah, I also think that, when you get RS, you get RO2 MP. Think I saw it somewhere @ retail for the price here on steam, that's why.. And, so yeah, I'm still a "physical copy above digital-guy" :D.

Pretty sure that the retail copy provides a cd-key for you to install it via steam, and not an actual physical disk.

A physical disc gives you the same stuff you get on Steam. It activates on Steam no matter where you buy it. So if you were to buy a disc and install it, you would have to pretty much redownload the entire game because it has been updated a ton since it released.

It was only a 800mb download when I purchased it yesterday on Steam, already had the free weekend version installed though....

That download that you got was the soundtrack files for purchasing Deluxe Edition.
