Also, the garand isn't crap. If you're a fan of sub 50m combat, that gun is unparalled. Its rapid fire doesn't matter at range, but it can beat a pistol up close.
To end with
1)Type 38
2)Mosin
3)Kar98k
4)Type99
5)Spriengfield
so i rather go for a bolt action. and know. i will take maybe 1 sec longer to aim and make sure i hit him, and know when i hit i kill.
then go for a gun, where i know i have enough bullets to spray at him...but lets just hope i kill him with this clip or else he just runs off or shoots at me. i just dont feel confident with the garant over 50 meters.
I'm not trying to be a ♥♥♥♥, but maybe you should work on your aim a bit because the garand kills with 1 shot in the chest, neck, head, heart, and balls. Aim up a bit higher because you may not notice how low you're shooting.
• Mauser
• Moist nugget
Automatics:
• S/AVT 40
• STG 44
• MG 34
• Everything else (though I have not had much experience with the germans' semi-auto yet)
Pistols:
• C96
• Revolving nugget
• P38
All but bolt-actions are in descending order.
Mauser and 91/30 are pretty much on the same level but I have a preference for the german side for some reason.
then i would go for the type 99 arisaka, great sights and feels poweful
as for the highly praised M1 garand, i highly dislike it, it's iron sight is plain rubbish and very hard to see through it, and even worse when shooting. the semi-auto feature is usually only good for close range because the time you need to re-align your sight is the same as operating the bolt.
also because it's semi auto you will get yourself exposed more often.
2. M4 S-System, Aimpoint
3. MP5 RDS, Silencer
:-)
Garand has the same stopping power as the bolt-actions and is semi-auto. If you can't kill in one hit then you just suck at aiming (although everyone complains about the sights so I guess that's probably the problem).
As far as bolt-actions go, I like the Mosin Nagant the best, don't know why but the Mauser feels (and definitely sounds) less powerful. I like the Springfield over the japanese rifles. Springfield is also my favorite sniper, mainly just because of that ridiculous 8x scope I have haha.
