Using cover function doesnt protect your head
How many times do I use cover, keeping my head down all the time while I still get killed by a headshot? Why do heads stick out a bit when you use most of the cover in RO2/RS?

This makes me NOT want to use the coverfunction at all. What a waste of such a good idea!

Cover function can be handy. I use it if I want to rest my weapon on the cover, and the leaning to fire around corners / duck back out the way works well. But generally crouching behind a crate works just as well.

Dont lie to me it doesnt show that you bought the game.

You'll eventually learn when to use the cover function and when not to. It's useful at times if you want to pop up and take a quick shot, or if you're using a bi-podded weapon, but doesn't automatically gaurantee protection.
Sometimes it's more convinient to control the cover manually.

P.S. just ignore the troll above me, he/she will get bored and go away.

Using cover is good when your in the thick of a firefight, if the enemy manages to kill that small part of your head then obviously the rest of your team aren't suppresing him.

maybe he doesnt have the steam version?

Also, know WHEN to use cover, it can be very useful at times.

Impossible. There is only a Steam version. You can buy the game from many distributors, but they always supply a Steam key. The only "non-Steam" version would be illegal to obtain.

LOL. I stopped using the cover function several hundred hours ago. It's terrible.

pressing crouch or prone while in cover mode should be able to protect yer head... This feature is not implemented though, sadly...

on the point of getting shot in the head, anyone else get shot in the head while behind cover often ?

Why did TWI implement the cover animation anyways if it's faulty (as in: exposing your head)?

Well it's optional you know. If it works for you, use it. If not, don't use it.

because one might assume that by allowing that function it'd probably be overpowered in terms of gameplay. "Mere" soldiers could become invinible behind cover, or so it seems.
