I think what might be a 'problem' is the best servers are always full. Then we have some very decent servers that will empty if the 'wrong' map gets voted for. Still, there should be plenty showing in your browser.

It kinda feels abandoned, they still haven't fixed the bug for the FOV slider or the bug that causes people to get speedhack messages and get kicked. These have been issues for quite some time. DayZ is getting a new update that adds new content every month or faster, I'm not sure how that's abandonment,

Sort server list by population and you'll find always 3-4 full server.
If you want join a full server keep try to join it till you enter. I don't wait more that 1m when i try that.
Probably if every 2-3 months Tripwire give a free weekend with sale for this game the population will not fall and this could help keep the game played.
