Stay in cover and empty a magazine into anything that moves.
learn what each team looks like immediatly. this will help lower the amount of accidental TKs. but no matter how good u get you will end up TKing here and there by mistake.

i always cringe when i get killed while trying to throw a grenade when i know a teammate is near me.

Identify your target before you shoot.

Both Axis sides (Japanese and German) run with their weapon in ONE hand... so they kinda do a full upright sprint with arms swinging by their sides.

Both Allies (US and Russian) run with their weapon in both hands so the weapon sways side to side infront of them (kinda look huddled over).

But again, be willing to take a bullet and die before shooting at a target you cant fully identify.

And welcome to RO2... give it time to learn the game and you'll likely not be interested in many other shooters as they will feel pail compared to RO.

Learn to set artillery markers with the binoculars before you take a job as teamleader and learn to use the radio for artillery strikes and using recon planes before you play as commander.

And welcome to RO2

If you intend to shoot out of a window, think about doing so standing or kneeling a few steps behind the window, or hide behing the wall left or right of the window and use Q/E to gnlance out of it.
Sharpshooters (and other people with ranged weapons) tend to look to the windows first, to detect any possible enemies hiding there ... kneeling directly behind the window makes you a well visible target for anyone with good eyes (and/or a sniper scope) and might end you with a headshot very fast.
If you stand a few steps behind the window, you better blend into the background of the room, making your position less conspicuous (and if, alternatively, you hide behind the wall next to the window and only use Q or E for short glances, you minimize the exposure time)

Don't stand right in front of your teammates. That goes double if they are using a LMG.

Even more important oif you´re playing japanese and a comrade is firing a hand mortar.
Running through his Field of Fire at the moment he releases a shot can lead to the grenade hitting you ... killing yourself, your comrade (with the hand mortar) and everyone around him, causing lotsx of FF penalty poiints for your comrade (an dletting him curse the bloody noobs who haven´t learned not to run recklessly through other peoples fields of fire)

You really need patience in this game. Learning the right spots for every situotion is needed.

Like in normal game you think what is the best way to play but in ro2 you really need to find tha t good spot and stick to it. As an attacker you need to find that right path to every objective.

Sitting in one spot for 5mins is not considered a crime in ro2, it's the way to play, but you need to learn the right spots for every map and objective and situation.

You can have the best reflexes and an iq of 185, but it doesnt matter if you don't know the enemies usual hideout spots.

If you have an iq of over 85, you need to bang your head on the wall for few mins or use relaxation medicine and youre good to go.

But in a nutshell ro2 is kinda like studying for an exam, study the best positions for each map/cap and youre good to go.

do not try and run and gun, My self as a person who uses the mg loves when people do this easy targets.

Learn the maps / keep your head down / play the objectives / play your class.

Say sorry for TKs. Not everyone forgives, but people are more likely to do so if you say sorry.
