Good old suburban dutch towns, beautiful french farmer villages, thick german cities etc.
Classic old US camo squaring it off against the German units.

Could this happen? I mean content-wise you only have to get new uniforms for the US units and some maps.

unless maybe as a mod (if it is possible to mod the US units of RS into an RO2 setting) or as part of RO3 (if this comes someday) or an expansion to RO2 (the last one rather improbable I guess)

Well, rising storm happened. Red Orchestra has always been focused on the russians, but it would be cool if they expanded it with US vs Axis

not really, every ww2 game invented is the european theatre. blah blah beaches of normandy, market garden, battle of the bulge. yawn. if RO is good it's because it focuses on other theatres.

the pacific front only had two belligerents (well i suppose england, australia and native people helped, but it was mostly america). not like european/eastern front, but w/e i rmed the point before you replied

They didn't "turn" it into that, most people are firing soviet weapons in soviet uniforms as we speak.

Besides, ADDING doesn't hurt.

I wouldn't exactly phrase it like that. Most of the IJA was tied down in China and Burma by the Chinese (communist, nationalists et al) and by the Commonwealth armies respectively.

That's not refuting that we (USA) did the lion's share of the offensive and supplying but every contribution helped since it's arguable that we wouldn't be as succesful without them- 'tis a World War after all.

Anyways, back on topic, TWI is looking into US vs Germans, though one of the major problems were the Soldier audio and that they're busy with Killing Floor 2 atm.

There's always Darkest Hour for RO1 if you need your fix.

Well it's really not about wanting to play as an american, it's more about playing the battles in Europe.

Come to think of it, Britain/France, anyone?
British forces, french resistance, dutch resistance (wasn't much) there's still more possiblilities.
