Hi, I need help with my performance with RO2, my average FPS is 20, and I can stand the lagging anymore, I tried different Configs but they just won't do any difference. I update my AMD Driver, and it's still c**p.
My Laptop:
AMD Quad-Core Processor A10-5757M with Turbo CORE Technology up to 3.5 GHz
AMD Radeon HD 8650G with 512 MB Graphics System Memory
Windows 8 64-bit
6 GB DDr3 Memory
Acer Nplify 802.11a/b/g/n + BT 4.0
1000 GB HDD
4-cell Li-Polymer battery

Only 512 MB for the GPU? It could be that.

How do I change it?

Apparently it has no memory of it's own. You can probably assign more system memory to it in bios. Ask the manufacturer if you're unsure how.

Where is Bios?

I dont think it's the memory but that card aint that great so you tried with everything at lowest? Also since it's laptop make sure it actually is running with that 3,5ghz and not in some power save mode.

Also if you play campaign or with bots the bots eat your cpu so you might get more fps in multiplayer match.

bots would make sense im running an amd 4350 fx 4.3 ghz 4 gigs of ram and an ol nvidia 9800 gt 1 gig and run it it in full hd with most things set to low excep maybe terrain and unit detail set at med and of course textures set high due to the video memory... i get adecent fps around tte 30 area make sure u got aa off and shadows low u could try one og those game booster apps like razer

I use it, doesn't make a difference.

I deleted my config then restored it by playing the game again, but when I move I get annoying lag spikes. When I stand still it's fine.

I found a few listings for your PC, seems to to be a turbo-cached GPU, so it's 512mb dedicated, possibly more which gets shared from the extra system RAM, which 6GB of is plenty to share when you play RO.

I found this benchmark of the 8650g

Basically, the video card is intergrated and total trash for gaming. It's pretty cool that it runs RO2 regardless, you could try out Tripwire's sister game Killing Floor and it will run better on your lappy. And I say it /will/ run better on your laptop, I use to have a GT 620 and it ran KF perfectly fine at 1440x900 on a mix of OFF/Low/High settings @ 83FPS average. But the same card ran Rising Storm like I was trying to simulate a NASA moon landing or something, was like wtf...

If you're desperate for some gaming, KF is a good option. The AMD CPU is... it's ok. Gaming doesn't use a crap ton of CPU -- though, it does effect FPS but less-so than a GPU effects it.

As usual it's another case of a laptop owner being limited by intergrated graphics :p

Wow, thanks.

It runs ArmA 2 OA perfectly.

Hey can you give the model for the laptop so i could check how fast the ram is since it kinda boost the gpu performance in amd apus.

Like because you have like a 4gb and 2gb stick in there if you would change em to fast 4gb+4gb in dual channel it would make that gpu perform alot faster aswell because it uses the same memory.

That gpu is crap, but it still has good enough specs to run ro2 with 50fps on 1366x768 or so.

Sure, it's Aspire V5-552.

Hey i need the number after the 552 part since they have like zillions of laptops with just that information.

Here is the link, as I cannot find the number after Aspire V5-552. http://www.acer.ru/ac/ru/RU/content/model/NX.MCMER.001
It's in Russian, just translate it.
